The handmade Mulia lampshade consists of flat rattan fibers that are carefully woven into a sturdy metal frame. The sculptural, stepped design gives Mulia an extraordinary look. The steps are deliberately arranged so that they are not perfectly flat or straight, giving the lampshade an organic and natural look that sets it apart from our other rattan lampshades.
At Mulia, the rattan is simply steamed and rolled, without any further processing. This allows it to retain its natural light colour and fibrous texture. From the first touch, you can feel the quality of a true natural product, made with dedication and craftsmanship. The material is very light, which makes Mulia much easier to install compared to lampshades made of heavy metal or solid wood.
The rattan lamp is delivered without cable and bulb. However, you can easily find these in any hardware store. This gives you the freedom to adapt Mulia to your own style and needs.

Rattan palms usually grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and taking a lot of nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow back quickly without chemical additives, must be cut regularly and can be dried after the drying process are used as a material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely durable and widely available material.
